Emergency Meeting

55 workers at the Carlton and United Breweries site in Abbotsford have been sacked. Why? For no reason other than corporate greed.

They were immediately offered their jobs back but for a third of their original pay. This action was taken by a multinational company that made $6 Billion Profit last year and paid $0 tax.

The Build A Better Future Campaign Team and the Australian union movement are behind these workers. We will not give in to corporate greed and will fight until the CUB 55 are reinstated at full pay.

An emergency campaign meeting has been called to implement our national strategy to get these workers jobs back. Details as follows:

6:00pm, Tuesday 30 August
TLC Building
Level 5, 16 Peel St
South Brisbane

Everyone who is able to attend is strongly encouraged to do so as time is of the essence. Each day this dispute continues is more pressure on the workers, their families, and the communities.

The faster we can get CUB to reverse its decision the sooner the CUB 55 can get back to work.

The Build A Better Future Campaign Team has proven its effectiveness during the recent federal election. Now is our opportunity to show it again, not to a whole country, but for 55 workers who were unfairly sacked for no other reason than corporate greed.

Touch one, touch all.
